27/02/10 - Community and PACT Event for Buckland Monachorum
West Devon Connect casts its net even wider when it joins forces with Partners And Communities Together to run a community event in Buckland Monachorum on Wednesday March 10.
An initiative set up by Devon and Cornwall Police, PACT gives residents the opportunity to have their say and help identify achievable priorities within the community. Those priories will be passed on by the Police to other relevant agencies and the results fedback to residents at a later PACT meeting.
The Buckland Monachorum event takes place between 3pm and 4.30pm at St Andrew's Primary School, when partners and agencies such as Devon County Council Family and Children's Services, Citizens' Advice Bureau, Devon Wheels 2 Work, Tavistock Library Services, South West Water and the Borough Council's Waste Service, will be on hand to give information and advice on their services.
To make it a real community affair, there will be activities for children, complimentary refreshments and the opportunity to look over emergency vehicles - including the chance to play their sirens!
